Yo-Zuri Knuckle Bait UV (spinner bait)

The Yo-Zuri® 3DB Knuckle Bait has made the leap forward in wire baits. After years of development and testing, this unique wire bait performs an erratic action that resembles a knuckleball being thrown from a pitcher’s mound. The aerodynamic design allows for long casts. While its versatility allows it to be used with techniques such as slow roll, flutter fall, bumped along the bottom, and ripped through underwater vegetation. Available in attractive bass-catching colors, the 3DB Knuckle Bait is a guaranteed home run in the water.

Release notes from Yo-Zuri:

Yo-Zuri is proud to announce the launch of a brand new style wire bait, the likes of which have never been seen before! It’s called the Knuckle Bait, and it is truly one-of-a-kind. Developed and tested for nearly three years, the Knuckle Bait is now ready to hit the American market and its waters for the first time ever!

What gives the Knuckle Bait its name comes from the ball which is attached to the wire, in a similar position to a spinnerbait blade. But this is no ordinary wire bait. The Knuckle Bait’s action is what makes it so unique. There are two styles of ball that are available; a 3D Prism pattern and a painted Sound Ball pattern. When this bait is retrieved, the ball wobbles in an erratic action, much like a knuckleball thrown from the pitchers’ mound.

The Knuckle Bait is a 1/2oz wire bait, and is remarkably aerodynamic which means it can be casted to tremendous distances. It’s also highly versatile as it can be fished by itself or along with a swimbait or creature bait trailer. It can also be fished many different ways: reel quickly and keep it on top, and the Knuckle Bait becomes a wake bait. “Slow roll” it along the bottom and pull it through vegetation, the Knuckle Bait is surprisingly weedless! It also stands upright on the bottom when the retrieve is stopped, allowing anglers to fish it with a flutter-fall technique.

The Knuckle Bait comes in two different finishes: 3D Prism and Painted. In all, anglers can choose from 7 different colors. Painted finishes include Chartreuse, Red Crawfish, and Pearl Shad. The 3D Prism finishes are Golden Shiner, Gizzard Shad, Shad, and Tennessee Shad.

love the rattling model, would  like to see more colors, interchangeable  balls, would  rather see metal flaked balls than  the prizm , or prizm tape on the outside, has a pretty cheap skirt would like to see it thicker and color selection is boring. just bought it to try because it is truly different. I would buy a  few more, but don't get caught in the hype.

I have tried these baits a couple of times. As yet I have not even had a small fish fallow them, so not sure it just not interested or I was doing something wrong or had the wrong color.
