Strike King Rage Craw
The Strike King Rage Craw is a soft plastic crawfish imitation lure featuring the patented rage tail design which makes the claws swim effortlessly. Featuring a simple, yet accurate profile, the Rage Craw, offers anglers an excellent option for mimicking crayfish using a variety of techniques such as Texas or Carolina rig, flipping or as a jig trailer. Each of Strike King's Rage Tail baits displays incredible swimming action and the Rage Craw is perhaps the best example of what just a slight improvement in swimming motion can do for a bit. As the bait is retrieved or descends through the water you'll be able to get the claws flapping and feel the movements the bait is making. Swimming action, water movement and vibration are all produced by these special swimming claws.
Each of Strike King's Rage Tail lures has a unique and exclusive tail design and is engineered like no other soft plastic bait. All of the baits in the Rage Tail series are designed with a specific purpose and use customized hi-grade plastic as the foundation for the bait's superior action. Anglers often choose the Rage Craw when they need a bit bigger bait to match larger crawfish or specifically target bigger fish. Additionally, when water is a bit stained, the bigger profile moves more water and is therefore easier for fish to locate. As the Rage Craw moves through the water, the vibration of the pincers will pique the curiosity of any fish nearby and the multi-colored baits are certain to convince them to strike it.
The Strike King Rage Craw measures 4" in length and comes 7 per pack.
Rage Craw Rigging
The most action packed craw design on the market. With the slightest movement of the rod tip, the claws start flapping back and forth and create terrific action and vibration in the water. This versatile design lends itself to a variety of popular rigging techniques that have proven effective at the highest level on the Pro Fishing Tour.
The Rage Craw can be rigged with a variety of hook sizes and styles depending on the type of presentation you are looking for. The most popular is for Texas rigging - whether flipping it or fishing open water - using a tungsten bullet weight and a 4/0 hook. If you plan to flip the bait, we suggest a 1/2oz - 1oz sinker and a 3/0 - 4/0 straight shank flipping hook.
Using the Rage Craw as a jig trailer is another very popular application when you want a bulked up jig for targeting big bass. The rage claws give the jig an entirely new action that is ideal for swim jigs when using a constant retrieve or any of the cast and drag variety jigs including football and flipping.
Carolina rigged is also very effective using as light of a weight as necessary for the wind and depth conditions. This technique allows the bait to free swim at any and all depths which is very attractive to the fish.
