Spro Bronzeye Shad 65

The Bronzeye Shad is a hollow body topwater lure which demonstrates many of the characteristics of a topwater frog, but with a slimmer, sleeker shad profile. Spro's latest addition to the Bronzeye family of baits increases the possibilities of where and how a topwater frog can be fished. With a unique twist on the leg setup the Spro Bronzeye Shad, designed by SPRO Pro Dean Rojas, is one of the easiest hollow body frog to"walk" on the surface. If you have trouble getting other frogs to sashay back and forth then this will quickly become your go to lure both in matted grass, lilly pads and even open water. The legs are still made from living rubber that works great right out of the box. All Spro frogs come with those sticky sharp Gamakatsu Hooks for solid hook ups. Available in a variety of proven fish catching colors. The main differences between Spro's Bronzeye Frogs and the Bronzeye Shad lie in the weight distribution and bait profile - highlighted by the legs positioning. You'll notice they are directly in line with on another acting more as a tail rather than legs as would be the case with the frog. Additionally, the weight distribution now lies further back in the bait - add these two changes together and you've got a much more deliberate walking action which is very easy to impart upon the lure. The Spro Bronzeye Shad 65 measures: 65mm - 2.55" and weighs 1/2oz.

Cool idea February 7, 2014

This frog skips better than the regular spro frogs, but where I live we don't have a lot of shoreline cover. So I gave it a 4.

It does walk really easy though. If you are having trouble walking frogs then this is a good one for you.
