The Simms Ebbtide SS Shirt is a short sleeve sun protection shirt designed to provide the wearer with coverage from the damaging effects of exposure to UV Rays. Previously only offered in a long sleeve version, the Simms has expanded with the Ebbtide SS shirt offering the same great features in a short sleeve option. While LS shirts obviously offer more complete sun protection, many wearers prefer a short sleeve sun shirt. We always recommend a long sleeve sun shirt if you're going to be spending time out on the water, but for traveling and general wear, Simms Ebbtide SS shirt is a great choice. Constructed from a 100% polyester dobby fabric that is lightweight and moisture wicking affording wearers great comfort and breathability. Airflow is created by the vented back panel which pushes hot air way from the body and recycles it with cooler air from outside. Compatible with fly boxes, the Simms Ebbtide SS shirt also possesses two subtle chest pockets which provide light storage space for maps, license or money.
Shackle the sun and captain a course toward style meets fishing function in Simms’ lightweight, versatile Ebbtide shirt. Designed for less clutter and more castability, this go-anywhere short-sleeve breathes easy, bucks unwanted moisture, and blocks sun with powerful UPF50 protection. Angler-driven architecture includes fly box-compatible, hook-and-loop secure chest pockets, and back venting lined with easy-breathing Burltex® mesh technology. Straight hem and Traditional Fit come standard.
We offer the Simms Ebbtide SS Shirt in four sizes: Medium - XXL in three colors: Mantis, Nightfall and Putty.
UPF50 Rating: At Simms, sun protection is a critical component of our sportswear offering. Through a combination of fabric construction, design and finish, we offer a wide range of clothing that features a minimum UPF of 30 (very good) up to UPF of 50 (excellent). UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure significantly. All of our UPF finishes last the life of the garment, an industry standard of 30 washings.
