The Signal Devil Swimmer is a full body swimbait poured using an ultra soft plastic that enables the lure to generate a lot of swimming action. The Devil Swimmer features some very unique characteristics including the body and tail shape and the dual plastic material. The profile is not too bulky or thin, finding a nice middle ground that will be a very nice shad, hitch or trout imitation. Signal uses different plastic composition for the top and bottom sections - the body is actually heavier which helps the swimbait to stay on plane when retrieving. The tail section utilizes the vertical fin engineered to keep the tail from rolling; the end result is a side to side kick. The original design of Signal's Devil Swimmer makes it work extremely well in high-pressured lakes and for inactive fish. Most users prefer a slow retrieve, however, due to the density of the bait it can be used to cover flats fairly quickly while the trolling motor remains going. The bait is rigged stock with a bottom treble hook attached by a solid oval shaped clip.
While the Devil Swimmer needs no introduction in Japan, it is fairly new to the United States as Monster is the only place currently importing the bait regularly. Now available in 6" & 7" sizes, these extremely popular soft swimbaits are not easy to come by. Often Japanese auction sites sell them for more than two to three times the original prices.
The Signal Devil Swimmer is available in VERY limited quantities of both the 6" and 7" size.
