The Pitbull Super-Flex Baiter is a flexible rigging tool used for creating prepared Salmon bait rigs with herring, anchovies or sardines. Rigged bait has now become the standard among salmon fishermen up and down the west coast. Serious salmon fishermen no longer turn to two hook mooching style rigs, instead opting for the long single hook carefully threaded into their bait of choice to entice keeper salmon to feed upon their swimming prepared bait. Often referred to as crowbar rigging, Pitbull Tackle has once again taken a simple concept and engineered an ingenious solution that makes all others in it's category obsolete. As crowbar rigs become more commonplace, serious fishermen are separating their presentation from others by imparting their own custom "bend" or "flex" to their bait to deliver a specialized swimming motion when its trolled through the water. The Pitbull Super-Flex Baiter makes the process much easier with its pliable nature that can be bent to meet each angler's desired shape for their preferred action.

Constructed from stainless steel components, the Pitbull Super-Flex Baiter is one of a kind utilizing a double wrapped design that snells through the stainless steel, welded eye siwash hook. The wire then continues up tightly wrapped ending in two wider loops. The larger loop serves as the connection point for snap swivels tied to either a leader behind a dodger or more popularly fished without any dodger/flasher. When rigged properly, the hook will slide directly up under the belly or atop the baits back depending on how you prefer to use it. The included pin and wire serve to keep the bait securely locked into place. Simply slide the pin down through the head of the herring, anchovy or sardine and through the second wire section of the Super-Flex Baiter to secure its position and then wrap the wire around the head to get it ready to fish. There are a few variations to the exact positioning of the pin, but simply put, its best to have the eye loop of the baiter cable just slightly through the mouth where an egg snap connection can slide through.

When looking at the photos of the Super-Flex Baiter you'll notice it was designed without a barb on the hook. That was done to follow the salmon fishing regulations enforced down the west coast. Furthermore, the hook point of this baiter cable is absolutely sticky sharp. Pitbull engineered their own hook point design called Diamond Point - it's surprisingly sharp - yet the hook remains incredibly strong.
