It is no secret that Rockfish love bait, when you want to fish your bait of choice look no further than the Pitbull Tackle Rock Cod Bait Rigs. A very simple rig with two dropper loops attached to 4/0 octopus hooks, just simply attach your main line to the swivel, clip a weight to the bottom snap, drop down and catch fish. Most anglers use strips of squid on each hook to entice hungry fish but this rig can be used with all sorts of frozen bait. We designed the bottom snap to be strong enough to hold your weight but weak enough to bend if you snag on the bottom, this way you won't lose the entire rig if you snag. Rigged with 50lb line this rig will be plenty strong to land any Rockfish or Ling Cod.
Rigging Guide: Tie your main line to the open end of the swivel and attach a weight to the bottom snap. Place some frozen bait of your choice onto each hook and drop down to the bottom.
