OPS Diamond Jig

The all-purpose OPS Diamond Jig performs in all kinds of fishing conditions. Smaller sizes are great for casting, jigging and trolling; the larger sizes are ideal for fishing deep, or in heavy current. Lures don’t get much simpler than the OPS diamond jig. The four-sided shiny jigs are long and slender slabs of metal that come stock with the swivels to attach your hook of choice. The swivel allows the hook to spin freely, preventing hooked fish from bending the hook or hook hanger out of shape. Many anglers like to add their own upgraded hook regardless of what comes stock on the Diamond jig - many prefer a feathered treble or custom skirted model. The OPS diamond jigs are versatile lures that, fished properly, can catch just about any fish that swims.

Diamond jigs are effective for both boat anglers and surfcasters. Rigged with a surgical-tube-dressed stinger hook, they are deadly imitations of sand eels. You’d be hard pressed to find a single boat in search of rockfish to go out without at least a few rigged up. In the Northeast, they are equally favored by anglers fishing beyond the surf break and those casting into the whitewash. These OPS Diamond Jigs are used to catch bluefish, weakfish, fluke, stripers, cod, rockfish and sea bass.

We offer the OPS Diamond Jig in five sizes: 4oz, 6oz, 8oz, 10oz and 12oz of the chrome color. Prices vary, 1 per pack. Jigs are rigged with swivels, but not hooks.
