Poured with a super high salt content, the Netbait Salt Lick falls through the water quickly and therefore provides a ton of wiggling action. Using a super soft plastic, Netbait devised a special formulation of salt, anise and pork fat to construct their Salt Lick stick bait and it looks delicious, just like the famous Salt Lick BBQ in Austin, Texas - well, to bass that is. Anglers who have fished with stickbaits before will be familiar with the numerous rigging methods that can be employed for this unique bait. Of all the methods used to fish the Salt Lick, we prefer two above them all: weightless Texas rigged and wacky rigged. When Texas rigging the Salt Lick, we prefer a 4/0 - 5/0 wide gap offset worm hook and we simply thread the plastic on and in place making sure to slightly bury the hook point back into the bait for weedlessness. Wacky rigging is very simple, it can be achieved using one of the many specialty wacky worm hooks we offer. Just thread the hook right through the center of the bait around what would be the "sex collar" of a real worm. The bait will now display a flapping action as it falls horizontally through the water.
We offer the Netbait Salt Lick in the 5" size in many colors - 10 per pack.
