Megabass Vision 110 Jerkbait
Once the closely-guarded secret of the pros, the 110 has quickly become a staple among professional and amateur anglers alike, setting the standard for jerkbait fishing in all U.S. waters.
The profile, one-of-a-kind darting action, balancing system and realistic color patterns all contribute to the incredible fish-catching ability of the Vision 110. The tungsten Multi-Way Moving Balancer System (PAT) not only fuels the 110ís unparalleled action and huge flashes, but also allows the Vision 110 to cast like a bullet. This deadly package is finished off with three Katsuage out-barb treble hooks, designed to increase hook-setting percentages when power-bait fishing.
The Vision 110 excels when the water temps are between 38 to 70 degrees. During this time (especially from November to April in most U.S. waters), the Vision 110 is an excellent choice when fishing points, flats, rocky banks, bluffs, or over underwater grass beds. However, the Vision 110 can also be deadly around boat docks in the heat of the summer. Smallmouth anglers will find no better lure that the Vision 110; in Northern waters, smallmouth bass will attack this lure from spring to fall. The wide range of colors available for the Vision 110 make this bait effective in virtually all water clarity conditions, but our Pro Staff has found the 110 to be most effective in water clarity from one to 20 ft. The Vision 110 is at its best when fished with Megabass Dragon Call line in tests of 6lb. to 15lb. Line size will affect the depth the Vision 110 is able to reach, running about 6 ft. deep on 6lb. test to around 4 ft. on 15lb. test.
Megabass Vision 110 +1
The Megabass Vision 110 + 1 is a mid-range jerkbait designed to increase the depth of the original 110 by up to 3ft. The Oneten +1ís medium bill is crafted to eliminate the traditional issues of high water-resistance, fatigue, and deadened darting-action often associated with long-bill minnows, while at the same time preserving the legendary action of the original Oneten. By positioning the line-eye close to the body, water resistance is reduced in order to make it easier to work the ONETEN+1. Preliminary field-testing by our pro staff indicates that it requires even less effort than the original Vision 110. In addition, this angler-friendly design also channels more water towards the lureís forehead and along the carefully sculpted body, allowing for irresistible darting action with the slightest angler input. The 110+1 is finished off with sticky-sharp Katsuage hooks, two internal rattles, and a dual-tungsten Multi-Way Moving Balancer System (PAT) designed to produce superior long-distance castability even in tough conditions. The Vision 110+1: The legend just got deeper.
Megabass Vision 110 Mag
The Megabass Vision 110 Magnum SP (Suspend) builds upon the overwhelming success of the Vision 110 in major tournaments around the world, featuring Carrozzeria tuning, a redesigned fixed-balancer system, and a larger profile.
The 110 Magnum SP that is available in the US market is tuned for a super-slow sink: roughly 1 inch every second. A steady retrieve will get the Magnum down to 4ft. on 10lb test, but the Magnum really starts to prove itself when you start targeting suspended fish at different depths. Say you want to get down to 7 1/2 feet: simply count off until your Magnum reaches the targeted depth and then start working the lure. With barely noticeable movements of the rod tip, you can get the Magnum to move subtly like a weakened baitfish in the water. With strong pulls or rips of your rod, you can get the Magnum to snap back and forth with the large darting action you've come to expect from the original Vision 110 SF. The beauty of this setup lies in the fact that once you reach your target depth, you can work the lure any way you want--fast or slow--and it will stay at the target depth. This feature is perfect for bass that are suspended at different levels in the water column. In addition, the weighting is ideal for targeting standing timber, a technique used to great effect on many lakes. Simply cast past the standing cover, jerk the Magnum until it is right next door, then let it fall slowly for at least 10-15 seconds. Many anglers have found that a slow-sink is especially effective in triggering bites in cold-water conditions.
Tuned to suspend out of the package, the 110 Magnum is an especially deadly jerkbait perfect for pre-spawn situations. With a larger profile and Carrozzerria tuning, the Oneten Magnum offers up a larger meal that will be sure to trigger bites from even the most cautious monsters. The legend just got bigger.
Megabass Xpod Topwater
The Megabass Xpod is the most unique, cutting-edge top-water lure to hit the market in years. While the strike-inducing profile and impeccable attention to detail might be the first thing that draws your eye to the XPod, the lureís truly revolutionary feature lies in itís adjustable lip. With seven distinct positions, the lip allows the angler to tune the XPod to each dayís unique fishing situation in order to create the perfect amount of surface disturbance to draw strikes from the deep. From a calm day where little surface splash is needed, to conditions that become choppier as the wind picks up, the XPodís unique lip can be cranked open to handle both changing weather conditions and the finicky feeding habits of bass alike.
The XPod's action combines the walking-style of the legendary Giant Dog-X with the top-water action of the renowned PopMax, creating an irresistible action and surface disturbance that draws fish from greater distances than ever before. We suggest fishing the X-Pod on cloudy days or early mornings around points and flat banks for best results.
