The Megabass Drunk Fly is a small, compact jig featuring a unique head design and detailed skirt colors providing the ultimate finesse jig presentation. The Drunk Fly was conceived by Megabass when trying to engineer a jig that would not fall over to the side, instead, remaining in the perfect position at all times allowing the trailer to stand upright when tension was placed on the line. The key to the jig's ability is the dual fulcrum design the head provides. Instead of falling to one side or another, the head shape displaces the weight evenly creating a balance that forces the jig to remain in a central position. An unexpected consequence of this design is the action the jig head displays when retrieved through the water. When anglers impart a steady retrieve, the Drunk Fly wobbles side to side allowing the attached trailer to get a ton of action.
We really like the Megabass Drunk Fly for finesse presentations of all types whether you are pitching to docks, hopping it across rocks or swimming it through sparse vegetation the Drunk Fly will give you a different look than any other jig you've used. Appearance-wise, just take a look at the colors in these jigs. Sure, you've got your standard black and reds, but they still have a vibrant nature about them and the dual long arms extending from the jig give you a natural crayfish or baitfish look without the addition of a soft plastic trailer. A super sharp, yet fairly light wire hook affords anglers the ability to use light line if they'd like and the minimal weedguard delivers just enough protection from snags. Overall a great finesse jig that will serve many purposes.
We offer the Megabass Drunk Fly in two sizes: 3/8oz and 1/2oz in several excellent colors.
