Lamiglas X-11 Salmon/Steelhead Rods

Choose cork handle or graphite handle +$15.00.
The Lamiglas X-11 Salmon/Steelhead Rods are sophisticated tools, exhibiting astonishing sensitivity and control, with highly focused affordability. While Lamiglas put a great deal of emphasis on keeping the rods affordable, their primary concern is always building a quality product. For their X-11 series of Salmon and Steelhead Rods they selected an IM Graphite blank as the foundation for these quality sticks and dressed them with deep press chrome guides, constructed of stainless steel. The combination of their deep pressed ring design and finish allows these guides to hold up to the most rigorous of fishing conditions. Exposed reel seats provide additional sensitivity and feel, while the glossy merlot color of the blank finish is strikingly beautiful.

These rods are built out of graphite, which is a material that casts accurately and has both sensitivity and strength to offer. Graphite also manages to stay light in the hand despite it’s power, this makes it excellent for both bank and boat. You may hear of X-11’s being referred to as “Graphite Handle.” All X-11 rod blanks are made from graphite, but there are two handle options available: cork handle and graphite handle. The X-11 was originally designed with a cork handle but is now available with an attractive, durable and highly-fishable graphite handle.

The X-11 is an import series so that we can offer it at the lowest possible price point. The rod is a high quality fishing option that we design, inspect and service in the USA.

1-year warranty to protect you in the case of defect.

– 1-piece rod that back-bounces for salmon very well, very sensitive tip and an excellent “hover” option. Striper and largemouth fishermen are also throwing swim-baits with this model with success!

LX80HBC-GH – 1-piece beast of a bouncer! Can lift heavy lead and big fish. Heavy salmon or sturgeon rod option. Also works well for bottom-fishing in the salt.

LX86MC-GH – A classic design with many uses. The 8’6 medium casting rod makes for a “jack-of-all-trades” that drifts excellent, casts spinners and spoons well, also makes for a great shorter float option. Run plugs or divers with this if you need from the boat – it really suits a number of techniques and does them well.

LX86MHC-GH – As a multi-purpose rod, this medium-heavy casting rod truly does it all. It can be used as a drift or float rod for both steelhead and salmon (coho, chinook, sockeye…etc) It also can be used out of the boat to hover, run plugs, troll light lead or even do light-lead plunking.

LX86HC-GH – This 8’6 12-25 rod is a very effective salmon rod. Backbone mixed with great tip action means it can still function very well as a bank rod, but also run numerous techniques out of the boat. When you need a versatile salmon rod to get the job done – this is a great option.

LX90MC-GH – The perfect steelhead/coho drift rod, the LX90MC-GH has a high-level of sensitivity coupled with cast ability. Spinners and spoons react and cast easily with this 9 footer. Multi-purpose bank rod.

LX90XHC – A strong, sturdy trolling rod that can pull flasher and herring, or sit on anchor with a wobbler. This 9′ rod is built to move fish powerfully and handle heavier lead techniques easily.

LX96MC-GH – A multi purpose drift and float option with enough length for standout line control. This 9’6 rod has a parabolic bend for the spinner fisherman or those that want to drift with a sensitive but strong rod.

LX96HC-GH – This 9’6 2-piece rod has a moderate action with strong backbone that works very well trolling bait on a spreader or handling a Kwikfish while anchored. With a line rating of 15-30 and lure rating of 1-6 it fits well into Columbia River fisheries and can handle larger fish. Many use it for lighter plunking on the Columbia as well. This is the “everything” salmon rod that works for a variety of techniques and uses.

LX106HC-GH – At 10’6 this rod achieves wide spread of baits for trolling. The length also compliments the 360′ flasher setups (think Pro Trolls or Shortbus Super Series) that have been so popular. Plunking and bobber fishing is also effective with this rod due to the length, strength and cast ability.

LX79MS-GH – Twitch, spinner fish, drift…this 2 piece rod packs easily into the car, the boat or the carry-on tube. With a line-rating of 8-15 it casts effectively and with accuracy. The lure rating is 1/4 – 5/8 oz. which fits squarely in the range that many of the most popular techniques fall under. At 7’9 it is easily fished out of a boat and its short enough to pack through the bushes.

LX86MS-GH – An 8’6 medium spinning rod is about as classic as it gets. 8-12 line rating means it fits steelhead and smaller salmon fisheries perfectly. Multiple techniques can be accomplished with this rod. Whether you cast spinners or drift gear, float fish or side-drift, you’ll find it’s versatile and powerful. A rod that can be depended on and brought about on numerous trips.

LX86MHS-GH – One of our most popular X-11 models EVER. Why? Because a medium-heavy spinning rod gets the job done for almost every salmon/steelhead bank situation. Equally adept at casting hardware as it is drift fishing or twitching, the medium heavy makes for a solid float option as well. You can take this one to the river knowing it should handle most any situation.

LX86HS-GH – This heavy-spinning option is a fantastic choice for chinook fishermen. With a strong backbone but good tip action, it casts drift or float gear well and has the power to back it up. Put this rod in your arsenal for optimum salmon spinning performance.

LX90MHS-GH – Much like the 8’6 medium-heavy, this rod is powerful and versatile. It brings even more line control to your situation by offering an additional 6 inches resulting in 9 foot of spinning goodness! A ‘do-it-all’ bank rod, or great rod for casting from the boat.

LX96LS-GH – The perfect side-drift option with the ability to cast lighter baits. This rod is also a top choice for those that want to cast lighter float setups for steelhead, or spinners with ease and accuracy. Light but able-bodied.

LX96MS-GH – This medium-action rod has everything: length, backbone and balance. Works excellent as a float rod, hardware rod or drift rod. Also available in pink finish – one of our top sellers in the steelhead market.

LX106MLS-GH – Think float fishing! At 10’6, this rod offers exceptional line-control for mending. Easily casts float and jig setups and has perfect action for effective hook-sets. If you need a steelhead bobber-rod – this is it!

I have not had a chance to use my X-11 Salmon /Steelhead rod yet. I will hopefully get a chance to use it in Michigan over the Thanksgiving holiday if the weather is not too brutal. The rod feels really nice in my hands and seems light.

Great fishing rods! May 30, 2017
Reviewer: SteveR from Pocatello, ID United States
These rods work great for catching steelhead near the end of their run from the bank. Not sure they would be heavy enough to do the same with heavier fish further downstream.  They are very sensitive and excellent for feeling the bottom and any fish bumping.  MonsterFishingTackle.com has been terrific to work with and they always have some of the best prices around.
