The Kahara KJ Crank is a completely new crankbait design concept combining the best qualities of a hollow body frog with the action of a crankbait. Anglers have always sought out ways of decreasing snags with their crankbaits in order to toss them around heavier cover where big bass are often located. Traditional crankbaits leave both treble hooks exposed allowing every little stickup or piece of grass to gather and ruin the presentation. The Kahara KJ Crankbait increases anglers' efficiency with the technique enabling them to make casts into grass, wood or rock.
The Kahara KJ Crank differs from standard crankbaits, with its unique hollow body and extra strong double frog hook, to fish in the tightest of cover where fish are most likely to sit and ambush. The KJ Crank also comes equipped with two stainless steel connectors that enable fishermen to add treble hooks should they wish to fish the lure like a standard crankbait. Some fishermen have also used the connectors to add blades, feathers or a feathered treble in order to customize their presentation to their specifications. The KJ Crank Bait is perfectly balanced and equipped with an off center belly weight and circuit board lip to acquire the desired square bill erratic action. The action is the same as a standard square bill crankbait - an erratic wobble that entices big fish to strike.
The Kahara KJ Crank measures 2.5" in length and weighs 3/8oz with a diving depth of 3-5 feet.
