The Heddon Mag Torpedo is the largest in the "Torpedo" family. Able to be cast much easier than the Heddon Tiny Torpedo and has a larger splash and scissoring sound. One way I have tricked out my Mag Torpedo is to add an Owner #4 solid ring to the front of the lure. This is done by unscrewing the front screw, opening the eye, inserting the solid ring, closing the eye, and finishing by tightening the screw. This solid ring does not cut the line tie and gives the bait great freedom of movement. Not only that, but also keeps the fish from throwing the hook, because it changes the leverage point as it pivots. This tip can be used on older Heddon Spooks or any plug with a screw in the front. The bottom line is that the Heddon Mag Torpedo causes giant largemouth bass to go insane and strike!!! Tight Lines.
