The Gambler Little Otter is a 3" beaver style soft plastic bait that is often used for flipping and pitching around sparse cover when bass fishing. An angler favorite, the Gambler Little Otter provides a bulky, ribbed soft plastic body with two little paddle tail appendages that deliver swimming action to the bait. Extending out the back of the bait is a large flat tail that resembles a beaver tail - this appendage is great for moving water as it descends through the water. When comparing this soft plastic bait to others used for flipping, you will notice the Gambler Little Otter falls more slowly through the water due to the large flat tail. Rigging the Little Otter can be done in several ways depending on how you plan to fish and the type of cover you are targeting. Flipping and pitching are very common uses for this soft plastic creature bait. The combination of a slow fall, bulky body and little swimming appendages matches a wide variety of forage bass feed upon including craws, bluegill and other amphibians. We really like this use when fishing wood or sparse cover rather than the real heavy matted grass. Another option is threading the Little Otter on the back of a jig. Again, the design of the plastic helps reduce the speed of descent through the water giving lethargic fish more time to react to the bait as it slowly makes it's way to the bottom. Finally, many anglers find the Little Otter to be a great pairing with your pivot or Biffle jig heads. Reeling slowly along the bottom, the small appendages will kick along and the large flat tail will float and flutter up and down. Very neat use.
The Gambler Little Otter measures 3" in length and comes 9 per pack in a great selection of colors.
