The NRX 842S MR is a spinning rod from G.Loomis' revolutionary line of inshore saltwater fishing rods. The NRX Inshore Rods utilize G. Loomis flagship blank material in the new lineup comprised of nine one piece, inshore saltwater spinning rods. Specific to the NRX Inshore spinning rods due to the NRX blank material, anglers will notice an unequaled strength-to-weight ratio, along with purpose built techniques for all inshore fishing situations. These rods provide accurate long distance casting by using titanium-framed, Fuji SIC K-frame stripper guides designed to keep braided line from tangling on the frames at the stiffest point of the rod. The first three guides on the rod are K-frame guides, but then switch to nickel-titanium RECOIL guides to reduce weight and increase the rate of recovery. Additionally, RECOIL guides offer an incredible amount of sensitivity; transmitting even the slightest tick through the rods blank. The NRX blank material is known for its equally impressive sensitivity that enables anglers to detect the bite no matter how far the lure is from the angler or how windy the day is. The 842S is a medium-heavy power spinning rod designed to fish soft plastics for redfish, trout and snook. The tip is soft enough to help you cast into the next time zone and a surprising amount of power to help you maintain control even around the docks, the mangroves and those pesky crab pots.
