Utilizing Fin-Tech's retainer/guard system design technology, the Title Shot Shakey Jig is a finesse bass fishing jig that provides weedless presentations of soft plastic baits. Utilized in each model of the Title Shot Jig line, the patented retainer/guard is the key to this little shakey head jig. The collapsible retainer is inserted directly into the plastic bait serving to both keep it in place and also afford weedless rigging. The exclusive rigging system eliminates the brush guard that has traditionally impeded the hook penetration and made fish release jigs more quickly. Instead, the design incorporates the "texposed" style rigging that places the hook point back into the plastic keeping the jig head weedless. When a fish picks up the bait, the pressure of their bite will expose the hook providing a completely clear path for the hook to penetrate the fish's jaw.
The Title Shot Shakey Jig is constructed around a custom light wire Mustad Ultra Point Hook which is quite important to fishing the shaky head technique correctly. When using light line and spinning gear, a light wire hook is necessary to pierce the fish's jaw with less pressure and shock to the gear. In contrast to a heavy wire hook that would require a very strong hookset that is not suitable for the lighter tackle. Another important consideration is the flat eye design. Using a flat eye is preferred by many experienced shakey head anglers as it aids in properly utilizing the technique both action-wise and hook setting ability. We prefer using the Title Shot Shakey Jig for finesse applications rigged with a finesse worm such as a Zoom Trick Worm or Roboworm. The balanced head design affords a true fall to the bait that gets to the bottom quickly and remains there when shaking the worm.
We offer the Fin-Tech Title Shot Shaley Jig in a single size: 3/16oz available in five color options. 2 per pack.
