Eco Pro Tungsten Pro Pegs
The Pro Pegs, from Eco Pro Tungsten, are designed to hold sinkers in place for a variety of techniques and rigging methods. Sinker stops, weight pegs, bobber stoppers - many different names for the same class of products, however, not all are created equal. Anyone who bass fished long enough probably remembers the old toothpick trick where a broken piece of a toothpick served to keep the sinker in place, or try to, when fishing texas rigged plastics. Nostalgia aside, that was a pretty archaic way of accomplishing the end goal - errr trying to, that is. Other methods of pegging the weight in place have come and gone, but the need to keep the weight in place still remains. Bobber stoppers were once considered the definitive answer, but they gave out all too quickly - truth is they were never designed for the abuse they were put through trying to hold a 1oz tungsten weight in place as anglers attempted to penetrate matted vegetation. Eco Pro Tungsten designed the Pro Pegs specifically for keeping your weight in place with different models for different weights and shapes of sinkers. The Pro Pegs exhibit a special shape that tucks into the weight keeping your sinker securely in place. As long as you use the correct size for your weight, your weight will remain in place with the help of these trusty Pro Pegs.
We offer the Eco Pro Tungsten Pro Pegs in two sizes: Small (3mm) and Large (5mm). 10 per ring.
The two sizes are designated for the following:
- Small Pegs (3mm): 1/16 - 1 oz worm weights, or 3/8 - 1/2oz flipping weights
- Large Pegs (5mm): 1/4 - 1.5oz flipping/punching weights.
