Eco Pro Tungsten Flipping Weight
The Flipping Weights from Eco Pro Tungsten were designed specifically for the flipping and punching techniques which often require the assistance of weight to penetrate through cover. Tungsten flipping and punching weights are now commonplace among bass fishermen who previously had relied upon their lead counterparts for the same application. The days of lead are long gone - tungsten has now become the standard weight and it's benefits are no more apparent than when used for flipping or punching. Perhaps the most glaring difference when comparing the two materials is size: tungsten is 40% smaller when compared to the same weight of lead. This is possible due to the dense nature of tungsten metal. When trying to present your bait in tight cover, the smaller the size the better as it will more easily make its' way through the obstruction and down to the fish. Furthermore, the smaller size doesn't detract from the plastic's appearance and action - it typically fits seamlessly affording complete, natural action from the attached plastic. This becomes especially apparent when you start utilizing weights over 1oz where the weight/size ratio is far more important. Tungsten's dense nature increases sensitivity exponentially. Flipping and punching aren't necessarily the first techniques that you'd expect to benefit most from this attribute, however, many anglers have commented they seek out areas with a hard or shell bottom content when flipping. Their patterns rely heavily upon this feature and fishing elsewhere would be simply wasting time. They have attested to the sensitivity of Eco Pro weights as they admitted it was detectable only with the help of their Eco Pro tungsten weights.
Eco Pro uses a 97% tungsten formula to make their weights which are some of the higher percentage weights on the market today. The science behind the tungsten metal doesn't allow for a purely 100% tungsten for the creation of weights, therefore 97% is incredibly high especially when considering that many other companies use 95% and are therefore not as compact as Eco Pro weights. Tungsten, as a metal, is also pretty difficult to work with and the shaping of the weights can often lead to sharp points that could ultimately fray line. Not Eco Pro flipping weights! These weights display a smooth, fray-free cavity without the use of any type of insert - this will really aid in the longevity of the weight.
Perhaps the most appealing part of Eco Pro weights to us was their ability to match up colors with extraordinary detail. The weights colors are perfect for your favorite flipping or punching baits and they will retain this color through many, many uses. We offer the Eco Pro Tungsten Flipping Weights in seven sizes: 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4 and 2oz. in five color options: Black, Black/Blue, Green Pumpkin, Sapphire Pumpkin and Watermelon Red.
