Duo Realis Popper 64
The Duo Realis Popper 64 is a small topwater lure displaying a popping and chugging action that is designed to mimic a number of forage species bass feed upon. This compact, 2.5" popper was engineered with a shallow cupped mouth that produces a gurgling, pop atop the water's surface that splashes water with the same of effect as real baitfish. If you've ever witnessed the small forage fish as they scurry across the surface, you'll notice the majority of lures greatly overdo it in regards to water displacement and noise. While there are certainly times those lures are necessary to attract fish, there's always a case to be made for subtly; especially in clear water situations. Appealing to bass's curiosity, the Duo Realis Popper 64 brings together the best of both popping sounds and chugging action into one topwater lure.
Creating the optimal action with topwater lures can often be a bit challenging, however, Duo has made a point of making this process easier in both their Pencil 85 and Popper 64. The popper walks across the water's surface with ease when a more walk-the-dog action is in demand. Should the fish prefer a bit more commotion, anglers can impart quick twitches of the rods tip to get the popper chugging right along. For added attraction, Duo incorporated metal rattles in a rear chamber which emit a high pitch noise through the water. The Popper 64 comes stock with a feather/mylar rear treble and additional treble on the belly.
The Duo Realis Popper 64 measures 2.5" and weighs approx. 1/3oz. Available in many excellent colors.
