The Columbia Trask Mountain 650 TurboDown Hooded Jacket is a thermally insulated down style jacket designed to keep you supremely warm in cold conditions. Super warm, that’s how you’ll feel under 550-fill power down and 100g thermal reflecting insulation. The drawcord adjustable hem keeps the winter out, and the summer in! Columbia introduced a new fabric technology when constructing the Trask Mountain Hooded Jacket: TurboDown. TurboDown is an innovative process that stacks layers of omni-heat insulation with down material one on top of the other and then seals it in with Columbia's omni-heat reflective which reflects your body's natural warmth back to you. Essentially, the jacket is protecting you from the cold air outside while it keeps the warmth produced by your body from escaping. It's like the opposite of a refrigerator, it is designed to produce cold air that stays inside the appliance while thick outer lays keep warm air from entering.
While the Trask Mountain Hooded Jacket builds its foundation on this new fabric technology, Columbia didn't stop there. In addition to the warmth provided by the jacket, it also has some awesome features that enhance its functionality even more. The outer layer of fabric is constructed from a water-resistant Omni-Shield 30 denier micro ripstop fabric which provides excellent durability that is designed to make this jacket last. While you wouldn't want to rely on it in a downpour, it will be sufficient if used in snowy conditions or light rain. You'll notice the jacket is a full zip front. It's pretty basic in design with the exception of the section that is in front of the face. This jacket possesses a barrier between the zipper and your face - it's soft and won't chafe your nose or mouth. Zippered hand pockets are a nice added touch for keeping valuables safe on you and a drawstring hem ensures you'll have a fit that is just right for you.
We offer the Columbia Trask Mountain 650 TurboDown Hooded Jacket in four sizes: Medium - XXL in the green color pictured above.
