Brad's Super Bait Cut Plugs - Unrigged
Brad's Super Bait Cut Plugs are patented bait holding lures used for salmon trolling applications. Brad's cut plugs feature a revolutionary design that affords fishermen the ability to pack their bait of choice into the plug cavity rather than devise methods of holding it on the side of the lure. This design innovation has proven extremely effective and simple to use. The super bait cut plug is an excellent choice when targeting chinook, coho, lake trout, salmon and walleye among others and can be used for trolling, casting, plunking or back bouncing techniques. Anglers can choose to fill the cavity with any number of prepared bait options including cut herring, sardines, ground tuna as well as power bait or gulp trout dough - all can be quite effective depending on the species of fish you are targeting and the method you are using to catch them. For big salmon we suggest tuna, sardines or herring - canned tuna can easily be packed into the cavity and will remain in place once the retainer band is replaced. For steelhead and rainbow trout a few possibilities include sardines, shrimp, krill or any other scent you have found effective.
Brad's Super Bait Cut Plugs - Unrigged come two per pack and are available in two sizes with a broad spectrum of color options. We also offer the rigged version: Brad's Super Bait Cut Plugs - Rigged
Preparing Brad's Super Bait Cut Plug
Preparing the plug to fish is quite simple. First and foremost have your cut or ground bait of choice in small pieces. For cut bait, thin slices will do and for prepared or ground bait we suggest separating the oil into another container. Take the bait and pack it tightly into the cavity - not a whole lot of bait is needed and we recommend keeping it within the cavity as to not inhibit any of the lures incredible rotating action. As you pack the bait, allow the scent pad to soak in your scent of choice - we have found pro-cure, smelly jelly and the natural baits' oils to be the best choices for this. Once you have your bait packed neatly into the cavity, insert the scent pad, close down the cavity and replace the retainer band. Voila, you are ready to fish.

Mooching Rig or Double Treble
Run leader through hook tunnel and head using bead chain or rolling swivel on to the main line.
