The Avet LX 6.0 Reels are single speed saltwater lever drag reels designed for big game species of fish. The LX 6.0 reels, from Avet, were designed to offer an exceptional amount of line capacity in a lightweight, yet strong, lever drag reel. The Avet JX and LX models are feature for feature the same reel, however, the LX models are slightly larger in order to accommodate a higher line capacity that was desired by some anglers fishing the 40-50lb test lines - The LX is capable of holding over 200yards of 50lb test. Avet's LX Reels are machined from a single piece of high quality aluminum providing a light weight reel that maintains incredible strength and rigidity. Durability isn't an issue, in fact, the reels are virtually bullet-proof needing only a freshwater rinse after use and a yearly service to keep them performing at their peak level for years in the future.

The LX 6.0 reels derive their power from the use of a high quality stainless steel gears and Avet's patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse system. Additionally, the reels rigid frame offset machined handle arm keep the user's force directly focused on fighting the fish rather than the gear. The reel possesses up to 15lb of drag while in free spool with a maximum of 20lbs when fully clamped down - more than enough power for any applicable use.
