Specifically designed as a leader line, the FC Leader from Sunline offers superior knot strength and abrasion resistance for top shot applications. Recently, anglers have become more reliant on lighter fluorocarbon leaders attached to a braided main line. This process is favorable for a number of reasons. First and foremost, the braided main line need only be changed after many, many trips of use rather than completely re-spooling with fresh line each outing. Instead, anglers can retie leaders throughout the day to ensure the line's strength. Along the same lines, leaders line size can be easily changes as conditions require - maybe your water cleared up a bit and lighter line is on the menu. A quick snip and re-tie and you're back fishing with a more appropriate line size. What's more, braided line offers excellent visible and touch strike indicators that can aid in detection of even the most subtle bites. Anglers harness the qualities of braided line, yet still present their bait in a stealthy manner due to the nearly invisible nature of Sunline FC Leader.

The FC Leader possesses the perfect balance of tensile and knot strength, while offering enough stretch as to reduce the impact on the weakest point - the connection knot. Constructed using Sunline's triple resin procession, the FC Leader line displays the highest level of knot strength and abrasion resistance to date. Paired with Sunline's SX1 Finesse Braid, the FC Leader will be the ultimate solution to your braid to fluorocarbon finesse presentations. Or choose the 20lb test leader and fish it with Sunline FX2 Frog and Flippin braid when fish are lockjaw under matted vegetation and a stealthier approach is optimal. We offer the Sunline FC Leader in four line sizes: 8lb, 12lb, 16lb and 20lb. Spool size: 50 yards.
