Introduced in 2005, the original MAX series was an instant hit.

Light, sensitive, clean, and equipped with quality components, these cutting-edge rods completely shook up the bass market. With that said, as time progressed Powell began expanding their product offerings to the point where they decided to move on from that ultra-popular series. Despite those rods being a thing of the past, they were never forgotten. Many customers simply missed the MAX rods and continually expressed a desire for them to return to the lineup. Well, they're back!

Reminiscent of the originals, the new MAX rods are upgraded with premium components and technology. Featuring split cork grips, Fuji reel seats, Fuji SiC guides, and the special MAXUMFIBER blanks, this series now offers even more extreme performance than before. Just like every Powell rod, they've fine tuned each model with technique-specific lengths, powers, and actions for the utmost in fishability. On top of all this goodness, some new models are now in the lineup that were not previously offered in the original series. What are you waiting for? Take your bass fishing to the MAXimum level!
