The KVD Jerkbait is a hard plastic jerkbait lure designed to mimic baitfish which bass often feed upon. Designed by Bassmaster professional angler Kevin VanDam, the Strike King KVD Jerkbait was put through extensive development and testing which lead to this final product. Displaying a wild, erratic action, this jerkbait is easy to fish with simple twitches of the rod's tip followed by varied pauses. Exhbiting the perfect combination of roll, wiggle and flash to attach fish. It's features include a weight transfer system for increased castability that will have any angler making long casts like the pros. 3D eyes and detailed color patterns offer a level of realism that is required with a bait that often comes face to face with predators before convincing them to strike. High quality hardware is highlighted by premium black nickle treble hooks that will turn those short strikes into boated fish.

Jerkbaits are often a point of contention for bass anglers who are unsure of the proper cadence. Truth is, there's really no wrong way to fish a jerkbait, however, the most common presentation utilizes a twitch, twitch, pause cadence. Simply impart small rips downward with the rods tip to get the jerkbait moving and follow that with a pause of anywhere from 3 - 30 seconds. Continue your retrieve by repeating that process, making sure you twitch the rods tip with the line slack. That final element is often difficult to understand, but it's the key to creating a realistic, erratic swimming action that mimics dying baitfish.

We offer the Strike King KVD Jerkbait in the 300 size - measuring 4.75" and weighing 1/2oz with a diving depth between 5-7 feet.
