A 5-power in an 8-foot design, this longer length actually generates power equal to that of the 6-power 766. The extra 6-inches generates maximum leverage that’s necessary in Punchin’ applications where fish need to be pulled from heavy cover immediately. The longer length will also flip a lot more line than a 7'6'' rod. Standard line on this rod would be 25-to 30-pound mono or 50-to 80-pound Power Pro.
