This is an especially good choice for fishing small to medium-sized rivers where you have sufficient room to work a fish once it's hooked. It balances perfectly with ten puound line and 1/2-ounce lures, and it's surprisingly strong. Strong enough, in fact, to handle most smaller salmon species.
