The Shimano Curado has been completely redesigned for 2009. The first thing you will notice about the Curado E is that it starts in the 200 size as it is much smaller and lighter than the previous model, the Curado D. Weighing in at only 7.6 ounces, the Curado E is over 2 ounces lighter than it predecessor.
Shimano managed to decrease the size and weight of the Curado while keeping the High Efficiency Gearing (HEG), and adding two more bearings to the reel.
