Fished hard April 7, 2013

I took out the 7'2 MH and put it to the test. I pitched small compact baits with it, threw chatter baits, spinnerbaits, and jigs. I really like this rod! Phenix is known for super sensitive rods and this one has it. I flipped a 4.5 largemouth in the boat and didn't worry at all about the rod. You have to get one of these. Extremely versatile rod. I know also own 3 of these rods. This is a solid rod at a great price.

phenix m1 rod (US or CHINA blank?) November 24, 2012
Reviewer: T C NASH from SAN LEON, TX United States
Key Note: a 7'2" Med-LT Fast action rod is PERFECT for Inshore Trout/Redfish throwing plastics - which is what I mainly do - and almost NO ONE makes this in fast action (as Mod or Med action is lighter but not as sensitive  or flexible a tip). This weighted 3.625 = Very light for a 7'2" rod.   Plus side: looks, feel. The custom seat has a rubber feel and should hold up great. the tiger is longer than most and uniquely curved which is very comfortable in your hand. Eva handle great. Sic guides very good but I prefer the fuji RECOIL guides (black-coated "lubricity" best). Unknown/Negatives: Don't know strength of Blank (time will tell) and where it was made USA (Quality) or CHINA (NO Quality control at all). Overall: SEMI-CUSTOM  rod at a bargain price. Perfect size/feel/looks/action. 5STAR if US made blank (I don't know this). Also 10" from end of butt to bottom of seat w/4" between seat bottom and end cap top.
