Phenix Baits Brent Ehrler Casting Jig

The Phenix Baits Brent Ehrler Casting Jig is a versatile casting jig designed to be fished from shallow water flipping to deep water dragging. Tournament signature series from Phenix Baits are designed by the pros to meet the demands of tournament level competition. The Brent Ehrler Casting Jig is a new custom mold that houses a round bend hook inside the guts of a casting head. Brent wanted to design a jig he could pick up and go fish with, rather than constantly changing out lures to meet the needs of a variety of cover he designed a jig that could do it all - shallow or deep, cover or open water.

"My Phenix casting jig is designed for lighter line and open water scenarios.  This jig features the same slender head design as the Flipping model that allows it to slide through cover.  I specifically designed this jig for casting open water and also for finesse applications.  The hook features a round bend medium wire model to allow for a greater hook up ratio when casting in open water with lighter line.  I recommend a medium heavy action rod with 12-16lb Sunline Fluorocarbon line and Yamamoto Twin Tail Grub.  Look for rock or brush near deep water and give this jig a try. The casting model is also perfect for skipping under docks to bass that traditionally are difficult to reach.  The colors we came up with will match the hatch all over the country."

We offer the Brent Ehrler Signature Series Phenix Jig in three sizes: 3/8, 1/2 and 5/8oz in three color patterns. The hook size varies based on the jigs weight: 4/0 Gamakatsu Round Bend Hook on the 3/8oz & 1/2oz Model and 5/0 Gamakatsu Round Bend Hook on the 5/8oz Jig.
