The J&R Bladed Five Arm A-Rig is a castable umbrella style rig that features five arms each equipped with a Colorado blade. The J&R A-Rig was made to catch the attention of bass feeding upon schooling baitfish. Standard A-Rig style lures feature five wires that are designed for attaching swimbaits in order to simulate a large group of baitfish. The J&R A-Rig increases the profile of the school and emits flash for visual attraction. This bait is best fished in fairly shallow water due to the drag created by the spinnerbait blades. One suggested rigging method would be with two belly weighted hooks on the bottom for keel and the remaining three wires rigged with unweighted belly hooks. That particular setup will offer a weedless approach to the A-Rig. The Bladed Five Arm A-Rig is offered in five different color options: Unpainted, White, Tennessee Shad, Chartreuse Shad, and Baby Bass. Some states regulate the number of hooks that can be used at one time.
If you are fishing in an area that limits the number of hooks permitted
you can still fish this lure. We suggest using heavier swimbait heads on
the bottom two wires and a lighter one on the middle wire. The other
two wires will be used to hold teaser baits. Using the Owner Twist Lock
Centering Pins attach swimbaits to the remaining two wires. Anglers who
have used this method to abide by their states regulations see little to
no difference because bass will almost always attack the bottom two
