The Lexa family expands with the addition of seven new LEXA400 sized models, the largest baitcasters in Daiwa’s arsenal. Daiwa designed the 400 Lexa Reels to offer offshore anglers a low-profile alternative to standard round reels typically employed by saltwater anglers. The smaller size enables fishermen to hold the reel in their hand more comfortably and increases the versatility of the reel. The 300 sized reel were warmly received by big game freshwater fishermen and inshore saltwater anglers alike, but it left them wanting more. Many saltwater anglers wanted to experience the same performance of the 300 reels in more traditional saltwater applications and subsequently Daiwa responded with their beefed up 400 models. The Lexa 400 Reels boast an incredible 25 pound drag max, plus a full range of gear ratios, from an ultra powerful 5.1 to 1 up through a Hyper Speed 7.1 to 1. As mentioned, the Lexa 400 Reels are available in seven different models including three gear ratios: 5.1:1, 6.3:1 and 7.1:1 in both right and left hand options. Additionally, power models come standard with the single knob power handle. For more explanation, please review the information below.
