The Sep's Strike Master is a trolling dodger designed to be utilized in front of a lure or bait to impart action on the trailed presentation. The Strike Master, from Sep's Fishing, is an excellent trolling dodger for Kokanee and trout exhibiting a larger profile than Sep's Side Kick Dodger. The Strike master distinguishes itself from the side kick dodger not only in size and weight, but also has a distinct action all it's own. Comparing the two, the Sep's Side Kick measures 1 1/2" x 2", while the Sep's Strike Master is roughly 2 1/2" x 3". The dimension/weight alterations cause the Strike Master Dodger to display a much different vibration - its much more deliberate - and enable much higher speeds of trolling. The erratic "thump" causes the lure or bait to really jump and kick which is essential to enticing strikes from big fish. The Sep's Strike Master works well with lures or bait, especially Sep's Kokanee Kandy lures, Pro-Cure Scented Grubs, and even the Sep's Trolling Flies. It is recommended that you attach the trolled lure using a 6-18" fluorocarbon leader attached to the swivel. Vary the leader length and experience different levels of lure vibration and kick.
